Dear First Holy Communicants,
This day you are receiving the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.
Congratulations! In the Holy Bread and Holy Wine you receive for the
first time into your body and into your soul, you are being given the
most wondrous gift, Jesus right there with you. You are becoming
Jesus, and so, you are becoming a healer, a teacher, a missionary, a
friend of those who are having a difficult time because they are sad
about something or have had their home flooded. In loving Jesus by
receiving Him into your hearts you inspire the rest of us to always be
hospitable to Jesus and to all of those whom Jesus sends your way. So,
my dear children, show all of us how to love our neighbor more just
like you joyfully love Jesus and accept Jesus into your hearts. By your
pure love, help us to become the pure love of Jesus.
