Confirmation for Adult Catholics in the Archdiocese of Galveston Houston is celebrated at the Baptism of the Lord and at the time of Pentecost. Eligible participants are practicing or returning Catholics
~ over the age of 18 and no longer in high school;
~ baptized and have received First Holy Communion ;
~ (if married) married according to the norms of the Catholic Church.
Preparation for the celebration of the sacrament of Confirmation for adults involves presenting a current record of your baptism (dated within the last 3 months) and choosing an eligible sponsor, completion of the required paperwork and interview, and participation in the required preparation sessions.
